4 my niggas.

Made for those who don’t ask for permission.

Fuck is goin on?

Our Origin

I started designing clothes when I was 14, trying to find myself and hoping others like me could find their own expression through fashion. Last year, while studying fashion design at FIT, everything clicked. A marketing class helped me discover my brand’s true purpose: to change the lives of Black gender nonconforming people through community and clothing.

That summer, I attended the European Innovation Academy’s study abroad program. Being mentored by industry leaders pushed me to go all in and dream bigger. That experience sharpened my vision for Caxology — not just as a clothing brand, but as a movement led by and for those who have been overlooked.

our mission

At Caxology, we don’t just make clothes for a community — we build clothes with a community. Every stitch, every fit, every design is a reflection of real voices, lived experiences, and collective creativity.

This isn’t a brand that happens to serve Black gender nonconforming people — it is a movement intentionally crafted alongside them, where fashion becomes a tool for connection, empowerment, and authentic self-expression.

Together, we’re rewriting the rules of design, centering inclusion and radical freedom in every garment.

what we stand 4

No compromise on Blackness. We center Black gender nonconforming people unapologetically — not as an afterthought, not as a trend, but as the core of everything we do.

Fuck conformity. If the fashion industry wants you to fit their box, we say hell nah. We make space for every shape, every vibe, every truth.

Community is everything. We build with you, listen to you, and rise together — because no one’s freedom comes from isolation.

Honesty over hype. We keep it real, transparent, and loyal — no fake promises or shallow marketing.

Sustainability is non-negotiable. We respect the planet and the people who make our clothes — no exceptions.

Fashion as rebellion and healing. Clothes aren’t just fabric; they’re power, protection, and protest — and we own that fully.

Meet the Founder: Mars Shabazz

I grew up in Washington DC, where people’s favorite word is Champ. They use this word for anyone that doesn’t subscribe to “trying to be cool.” When I came out as non-binary, I faced a lot of things — from people laughing because I had on big ass boots to my school refusing to take my deadname off of the PowerPoint they showed in front of hundreds of kids so I could enjoy my honor roll assembly.

Going through these things alone was really tough, but it taught me that clowns need other clowns to make a circus. One day I realized that I wasn’t champ for dressing up or changing my name — they were champ. That was a turning point for me because before I realized who I was, I spent a long time wondering why I wasn’t like other girls.

When I was 14, I decided to start a clothing brand to help people express themselves in cool ways. Now I create clothes for and by Black gender nonconforming people. I leave Black gender nonconforming people feeling more connected to a community and feeling more represented through their shopping experience.

My journey has made me realize how alone so many of us have felt in our experience finding our identities. Looking ahead, I hope to rewrite Black history and spark a true fashion revolution within it.
