A T-SHIRT FIT TRIAL AND COMMUNITY EXPERIENCE FOR BLACK GENDER NONCONFORMING PEOPLE

On August 30th, Fashion designer Mars Shabazz is inviting Black gender nonconforming people to attend Fit 4 Feelz, a first of its kind event in New York City that centers fit, freedom, and identity through fashion.
This freeform try on and community experience gives participants the chance to explore a variety of blank, genderless T-shirts from multiple brands and give honest feedback on what a perfect fit means to them, physically, emotionally, and personally.
For many Black gender nonconforming people, finding basics that reflect their identity and feel good on the body is still a challenge. Fit 4 Feelz is not just about clothes. It is about connection, representation, and rewriting the rules of fashion through lived experience. This gathering creates space to feel seen, valued, and empowered while shaping the future of inclusive design.
Set in Manhattan, the four hour experience will feature:
- A modular mirror filled try on station to explore fit
- A custom Statement Tote Station where attendees can heat press personal messages onto take home bags
- A Connection Circle for open discussion around fashion, identity, and self expression
- A Community Wall to reflect on what is missing in fashion today
- A Social Chill Zone with music, snacks, and visual inspiration
- A final Reflection Station to share feedback and ideas for future development
The event will include special guests, live music curated by LetMeRockParty, and a performance by nonbinary artist INWINTR.
Participants will walk away with a custom tote bag, early access to future drops, and the opportunity to be part of a real time design revolution centering Black gender nonconforming voices.
